Most lipsticks are pigment delivery systems — wax, filler, synthetic dye, and fragrance with lip health as an afterthought. These are built the other way around. A deeply nourishing base of castor oil, cocoa butter, beeswax, and coconut oil comes first — then natural iron oxide pigment, organic fruit powders, and pure essential oils for color, scent, and a finish that leaves lips softer than before you applied it.

Available in two finishes — same nourishing base formula, dialed differently:

LipStick — a balanced castor oil ratio for a smooth, comfortable, longwear tinted finish with a natural satin appearance.

Lip Gloss — slightly higher castor oil content for a glossier, more luminous finish with the same pigment and nourishment. More shine, same care.

The Packaging — As Clean as the Formula

These come in plastic-free push-up paper tubes — fully compostable and planet-safe. No plastic waste, no synthetic packaging materials. The tube itself is part of the sustainability story.

How to use the paper tube: Push up gently from the bottom disc while the cap is on to advance the product. Never twist — this is a push-up mechanism, not a twist-up. Store with the cap on in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving in a hot car or direct sun — the natural wax base will soften in heat.

The Base — Why Every Ingredient Is Here

Beeswax — the structural backbone of the formula. Beeswax gives the lipstick its shape, its staying power, and its smooth glide across the lips. A centuries-old ingredient in lip preparations for good reason — nothing synthetic performs quite like it. Note: contains beeswax, not vegan.

Castor Oil — the hero ingredient of any truly nourishing lip color. Rich in ricinoleic acid, castor oil is the most common carrier oil in professional lip formulation because of its thick, glossy, deeply conditioning texture and its exceptional ability to carry pigment evenly across the lip surface. Higher concentration in the gloss formula creates the more luminous finish.

Cocoa Butter — rich in fatty acids and natural antioxidants, cocoa butter adds a creamy, skin-softening quality to the formula and contributes to the subtle natural scent of the Mocha Mint shade. A longtime staple of lip care preparations.

Coconut Oil — adds slip and spreadability to the formula, helping the color glide on smoothly and melt into the lip surface rather than sitting on top of it.

Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499) — natural mineral pigments that provide the color in every shade. No synthetic dyes, no artificial colorants. The same iron-based minerals used in clean cosmetic formulations worldwide — rich, natural-looking color without the synthetic chemistry.

Organic Fruit Powders — shade-specific organic powders that deepen and warm the color story in select shades. Real botanical pigment, not synthetic approximation.

Royal Rose | LipStick — a bold, burnt red tint with timeless depth. Infused with Rose Essential Oil for a soft, feminine floral scent. A classic shade that wears beautifully from a natural flush to a full statement lip depending on application. Works across fair to deep skin tones.

Love Pink | LipStick — a soft, rosy pink tint formulated with non-nano zinc oxide — a mineral widely used in clean beauty lip formulations. Flavored with Grapefruit, Geranium, and Vanilla oils for a juicy, fresh, and slightly floral finish. The lightest and most everyday-wearable shade in the collection.

LipStick vs. Lip Gloss — Which Finish?

Choose LipStick for a smooth satin finish with comfortable longwear and a natural, polished appearance.

Choose Lip Gloss for a glossier, more luminous finish with slightly more slip and shine. The higher castor oil content also makes the gloss feel slightly more conditioning on very dry lips.

How To Use

Push up gently from the bottom disc while the cap is on to advance product. Apply to lips as desired — build from a light natural flush to fuller coverage with additional passes. Store in a cool, dry place with cap on.

What is the difference between the LipStick and Lip Gloss? Same base formula, same pigment, same four shades — the gloss has a slightly higher castor oil ratio which gives it a glossier, more luminous finish. Both are deeply nourishing. Choose based on your preferred finish rather than any difference in color or care.

Are these safe to ingest in small amounts? Yes — the formula uses only food-grade and cosmetic-grade ingredients with no synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, or artificial fragrance. Essential oils are present in cosmetic quantities. As with any lip product, avoid deliberate ingestion.

How long do they last on lips? Longwear for a natural formula — the beeswax base gives these excellent staying power compared to a standard lip balm. Reapply after eating or drinking as needed. The gloss finish will need more frequent reapplication than the lipstick due to its higher slip.

Will it melt? The natural wax base softens in heat above approximately 85°F. Store away from direct sun, hot cars, and warm windowsills. A softened tube can be recapped and refrigerated briefly to firm up — the formula is unaffected.

Is it vegan? No — the formula contains beeswax. The packaging is fully plastic-free and compostable.

Can I use it as a cheek tint? Yes — the castor oil and iron oxide base makes these versatile enough for a light cheek flush. Use a clean fingertip to dab a small amount onto the cheeks and blend. Royal Rose and Love Pink work particularly well for this.
